Hi, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m the heart (and hands) behind Perfectly Imperfect Norwegian Cookies — a small home bakery born from nostalgia, tradition, and a love for sharing something sweet and meaningful.
I’m 50, a lifelong creative, and a newly minted interior designer. Growing up, we lived far from my grandparents, but my grandma's kringla still found its way to us, those soft, pillowy, sweet little knots that seemed to carry more love than flour
she would fill a bread bag with cookies and mail them to us, each one a perfectly imperfect treat but always made with care. After she passed away, I felt a strong pull to reconnect with her and the Norwegian part of my heritage. That’s when I discovered the beautiful tradition of the “Seven Sorts” — a Norwegian Christmas custom of baking seven kinds of cookies to celebrate the season. I dove in headfirst — learning, testing, and tasting my way through these time-honored recipes. Soon, I found joy not only in the baking, but in the imperfection of it all, each piece holding a story, a memory, and a much-needed reminder that perfection isn’t the point — connection is.
